Your commercial property is a large investment; and while everyone has heard the phrase “never judge a book by its cover,” we all know that appearance really does matter. That is why the commercial siding installers at Geissler Roofing pay close attention to detail and are meticulous about making sure your commercial building not only functions properly, but also looks great.
At Geissler Roofing we specialize in the installation of three types of commercial siding: Vinyl, Cement and Metal. Prior to making a final decision on your siding, there are several factors to consider such as: durability, appearance, style, cost, maintenance, installation requirements, replacement and/or repair. Each material has its benefits and value.
Vinyl Siding
This is the most common siding material in North America. Vinyl siding provides an attractive look at an inexpensive cost with very low maintenance. However, vinyl will fade over time. There are new materials to help minimize the amount of fading that occurs. Vinyl is generally easy and quick to install, saving on labor costs.
Fiber Cement
If you desire the look of wood but not the hassles and costs associated with it, fiber- cement siding is a great alternative. It is five times thicker than vinyl and has the look and feel of wood siding, but will last many times longer. Fiber cement is highly durable, withstanding winds of up to approximately 130 mph. With a 50-year warranty (estimated), it is known to resist warping, bending, or losing its shape over time. Fiber-cement is also resistant to fire, hail, mold, pests, termites, rot, woodpeckers, carpenter bees, squirrels, and UV rays. Similarly to vinyl, it can be cleaned with water. On the other hand, installation can be challenging in some circumstances as this product has to be handled carefully and cutting can be a challenge. As a specialist at Geissler Roofing if this is the right product for your building.
Metal Siding
Metal siding has remained a popular choice for buildings, such as commercial buildings, that need a durable covering. It is available in a wide variety of colors, installs easily, and is virtually maintenance free. Since it is frequently made from recycled steel, it can be recycled at the end of its life making it a fantastic environmentally friendly, green option. Metal siding offers its own durability, as it is resistant to adverse weather, has a long life span and is relatively low cost. Although slightly more difficult to install than vinyl, steel can be installed relatively quickly.
